It’s been a busy summer for Bounce Works and the Apart of Me team and we wanted to share some exciting news.
We took the brilliant ideas and feedback we got from our co-design workshop, persuaded the best game developers we could possibly find to work with us. We now have an amazing design which is coming into being as we speak. The new iOS and Android versions will be released for free in November to coincide with Children’s Grief Awareness Week 2018.
Our journey so far would never have been possible without the massive support of everyone who contributed to our crowdfunding campaign last summer, thank you again!
We’re now looking for volunteers to help over the next 12 weeks with supporting our launch campaign. If you feel called to contribute to our mission, and you have some spare time between now and the end of the year, here are some of the skills we are looking for:
Please get in touch, more details on our volunteering page.
We are particularly excited to announce that we have partnered with Audible to record stories for use within the Apart of Me world.
If you have experienced childhood bereavement and would be happy to share your story with bereaved young people, please let us know. Together we can turn your own story of love and loss into a shared treasure, helping loads of other young people around the world.
We have 2 recording days at Audible coming up in the next 3 weeks, so if you can help please let us know as soon as possible:
We’re also happy to announce that Apart of Me has been shortlisted for some high profile awards recently. We made it to the top ten of the Pfizer Healthcare Hub awards in May and more recently we were runners up in the Digital Health category of the AbilityNet Tech4Good Awards 2018.
We’re pleased to share with you this article published recently in You magazine and this video from ITV News. Both feature Louis talking about the dramatic rise in self-harm amongst young people. We need less competition and more compassion; less time on screens, and more time connecting with the people we love, with our families, and with nature. Please do share if you feel the message is important.
